Can’t say many didn’t see it coming but Phoenix Fan Fusion has announced that the convention has been postponed until September 25 – 27. The convention is also eliminating the half day Thursday and making it a three day convention.

The full statement:

“Dear Friends,

Out of concern for all and with our sincerest faith in the continued support of our community, we have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone Phoenix Fan Fusion from May 21-24 to September 25-27, 2020. In almost twenty years of operation we have never had to postpone this event, and we hope you know how much we wanted to avoid this decision. Considering the current degree of uncertainty, and after consulting with the Phoenix Convention Center and City of Phoenix officials, we feel this is the best option, as the safety and well-being of our attendees and participants is of utmost concern to us.

We are a local business who hires local employees, crew, and companies. Our event in turn supports local artists, vendors, restaurants, and hotels. With your help, we will put on a great convention this year and in the years to come.

We promise to make this event as great as we can. By September, we will all be ready for some fun and socialization and we hope that you mark your calendars and join us for Fan Fusion 2020-2.0.

If you have already purchased passes for our May 2020 event they will automatically transfer to the new dates. You won’t need to do a thing. If you are unable to make these new dates you can transfer the passes free of charge to someone who can, or roll them over to our 2021 event, scheduled for May 27-30, 2021. The new September dates are for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This impacts those who purchased a Thursday only pass. Thursday membership passes will be honored for Friday September 25. These will automatically be accepted on Friday, so you don’t need to do a thing. If you are unable to attend Friday, or our event itself, you can transfer the pass free of charge to someone who can attend, upgrade to Saturday or Sunday, or roll the pass over to Thursday of our 2021 show. We are working with agents for our guest line up, as well as panelists, vendors, and entertainment providers to secure them for the September dates and will begin those announcements as soon as possible.
