Moment #8 – A Dragonball Dream Come True
It’s not secret of my love affair with Dragon Ball Z. If you follow me on Twitter than you’ve probably seen a tweet or 20 from me gushing over some Dragon Ball figure. I started watching DBZ before it found its way to Toonami, back when it was on local television at 7 AM on Saturdays. Needless to say, I watched it for years so to have to Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat, the TWO most important voice actors in DBZ come to Taiyou Con, it was an event I wouldn’t dare miss. I attended both of their panels and to hear them talk about the show with a passion for the characters in a room packed with like minded fans was something I truly enjoyed.
Moment #7 – An Hour With A Pop Culture Legend
Kevin Eastman might not be a name you know but certainly you know his creations; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was invited to a round table interview with Kevin Eastman at Amazing Arizona Comic Con and it was awesome! I sat at a table with only five other people and got to talk Ninja Turtles for an hour with the man who gave the mega franchise life. Like most kids of the 90s, I was way into the Ninja Turtles and to get to have that experience was something I will truly never forget.
