I’m excited to be returning this annual post for Free Comic Book Day across Arizona. I’ll post the details for comic book shops across the state that have shared info. Not all comic book stores participate or post about it so if you’re favorite comic book shop isn’t listed, that’s probably why (I will update this as I come across more, so remember to check back). One last note, remember, if you can buy something while visiting a comic shop on FCBD, please do so, those comics aren’t free for the shop. I guess it’s important to tell you that Free Comic Book Day is on Saturday, May 7th.

Ash Ave. Comics – Tempe, AZ – 10AM to 6PM
“This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day at Ash Ave Comics. Nearly 50 titles up for grabs this year, and of course we’ll have some great sales running through out the day. Our pull list subscribers get first entry at 9 AM, and our doors open to everyone at 10 AM. See you there!”

Atomic Comics – Gilbert, AZ – 10AM to 9PM
“Atomic Comic’s first FREE COMIC BOOK DAY since our return!
We’re so excited to bring this to our new location at San Tan Village and introduce a whole new community to FCBD.
All day (while supplies lasts) we will be giving away FREE comics.
We will also have comic book creators at the store doing sketches, signing and hanging out.

Collectors Choice Comics/Justice Comics – Tempe, AZ – 11AM to 7PM
“We will have close to two-dozen different titles to choose from. Guests are welcome to any 5 titles per person! (no duplicates please)

PLUS, we are featuring 2 SPECIAL GUESTS who will be signing throughout the day!

Resident Cover Artist, Chinh Potter, will be signing, sketching and taking commissions from 11am-5pm! He will also have a new LIMITED EDITION Boba Fest print – created only for this FCBD event! (Prints will ONLY be available in-store at the event.)

We are also excited to host actor, stunt performer, stunt coordinator, action unit director and producer – Dickey Beer! – who is best known for his work on Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983). Beer portrayed several roles during the movie; most notably as the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett who fought in all the battles scenes, which propelled him into cult status worldwide. He was also Luke Skywalker’s stunt double in a variety of action scenes while portraying the characters of Barada, Sergeant Junkin, a Stormtrooper, a Gamorrean Guard and a Biker Scout during this epic movie!

Dickey will be signing autographs from 11am-3pm. Price is $40 per signature, and we will have numerous comics, photos, Funko Pops and other Star Wars character memorabilia on hand to get signed!

Collectors Choice Comics will be on hand to witness signatures for CBCS Yellow Label Express Grading for any signed books by either Chinh Potter or Dickey Beer for $65 per book (Only 6-8 week turnaround time)!

COAs will also be available from Justice Comics for $5 each.

We will also be featuring a special LIMITED EDITION BOBA FETT PRINT that can be DOUBLE SIGNED by Chinh Potter & Dickey Beer at the event!”

Fantastic Worlds Comics – Scottsdale, AZ – 11AM to 6PM

Samurai Comics Phoenix location will be holding the yearly ACME event. “aturday, May 7th is Free Comic Book Day and also the 10th Annual Arizona Comic Mini Expo! We’re taking over Samurai Comics in Phoenix and featuring Arizona-based creators who have worked on projects for Marvel Comics, Image Comics, DC Comics, Fortnite, Magic: The Gathering and much more!
