June will be quite a busy month for consumers of all things pop culture. If you have the crown jewel of the southwest, Phoenix Comicon, then the weekend after is the uber popular Supernatural convention in Glendale, and finally two weeks later is AZ iCon, well, WAS Az iCon. It is now known as Arizona Toy Con and will be returning for the third year to the Glendale Civic Center on June 25 from 10am-4pm.

The first two cons were okay and I’m glad it’s coming back but I wish they would tweak it a little bit to give the show a real pop. A bigger focus on vintage toys would be great as Phoenix doesn’t really have anything like that (Tuscon has one, it is pretty… unique). Less mainstream booths like Zia or Drawn to Comics, more people selling stuff you don’t see everyday. Just my opinion though 😉
