Starting off the week with two convention cancellations with the first coming from Days of the Dead Phoenix. The horror convention that has shows in cities around the country was just days away from its third annual Phoenix show before they announced they are pulling the plug via Facebook.

Waiting until the last minute to cancel the show is not a great look and have more than likely lost a few future attendees and vendors. The show taking place on the same weekend as the long running Mad Monster Party horror con across town in Glendale was also an interesting decision. We’ll see if and when they return in 2026.
The second cancellation comes from Tombstone Redemption, which was about to have its third convention (second in Arizona) later this year but the organizer announced via Instagram that its not happening any longer. Tombstone Redemption was a celebration of the Red Dead Redemption video games with a lot of the voice talent participating in the weekends activities.

The last bit of news for today’s article comes from UwU Con who took to Instagram to clarify their convention schedule. While the convention is scheduled October 17 – 19, the Friday of the event isn’t exactly a typical convention day.
