We’ve been slowly returning to a normal convention schedule here in Arizona but things really start heating up (Phoenix is hot pun) in May. Wanted to compile a few smaller convention announcements into one post. So without further ado:

ZapCon 8.2 – Tickets for the Arcade and Pinball Convention went on sale earlier this month. Full weekend passes will run you $50, just Saturday $35 and just Sunday $25. Also the convention recently announced that 8bit video game band Minibosses will be playing a show at the con on Saturday night. ZapCon will be held at the Mesa Convention Center April 30 – May 1.

Anime Arizona – The newest anime convention in Arizona will be holding its first con in May and have announced several more guests on top of their initial Christopher Sabat announcement. The additional guests so far are Zach Aguilar, Bryce Papenbrook, and Kellen Goff. Anime Arizona will be held at the Mesa Convention Center May 6 – 7 and tickets are on sale now.

Phoenix Fan Fusion – A bunch of guests from different forms of media have been continually announced including Felicia Day and Christopher Eccleston, you can check out all the guests up this point right here. The other exciting news is that the programming schedule has started to form and while not everything is listed just yet, you can at least start getting an idea of what will be offered. You can check out that at the Phoenix Fan Fusion site.

Tucson Comic-Con – A quick note on Tucson Comic-Con as its normal convention dates in November have changed this year. The convention is now moving to Labor Day Weekend, September 2 – 4. This has received mixed feelings from the community as its obviously hotter in September and it is now the same weekend as Saboten Con in Phoenix.
