Greetings everyone, its been a bit right? Not much convention news understandably as most have been cancelled or postponed. I just wanted to do a quick recap and a few notes.

The following Arizona pop culture conventions have been cancelled for 2020 and hope to return in 2021:

The following Arizona pop culture conventions have been postponed and still plan on holding a show in 2020:

Arizona Toy Con – No new date announced as of publishing
Con Nichiwa – November 11-13, 2020
Gila Valley Comic Con – No new date announced as of publishing
Mad Monster Party – October 9-11, 2020
Phoenix Fan Fusion – September 25-27, 2020
Sneaker Con – October 24
Verde Valley Comic Expo – No new date announced as of publishing

A couple of notes

  • As of right now, the only major Arizona pop culture convention with no change is Saboten Con which is to take place Labor Day weekend.
  • Tucson Comic Con never got around to announcing 2020 dates and it wouldn’t be surprising at this point if this show doesn’t happen this year. I reached out for comment but did not receive a reply.
  • Denver Pop Culture Con was postponed from July to November then eventually cancelled the November dates. I think you will see this happening a lot with conventions that had hope of pushing out their shows to later in the year.
