A week later, a little bit of information about Phoenix Comicon attendance has surfaced (I’m not believing those attendance numbers from CW until they come from an official source). Did you notice how busy Thursday and Friday were? This might shed a little light on why two of the relatively lightest days  in years past were not so light this year. 

This comes from a Facebook post that convention director Matt Solberg commented on the amount of free badges given out. 

That’s 29,000 free badges! It helps explain why Thursday was busier than normal and maybe it helped contribute to the registration situation on Friday. I knew the convention was generous with badges (that’s why I always have some to give you guys!) but didn’t know they were THAT generous.
