UPDATE: ANIME Impulse has made an official announcement on social media and will be coming to the Phoenix Convention Center on August 3 – 4, 2024.

One of California’s premier anime conventions, ANIME Impulse, is seemingly headed to Phoenix next summer. Cosplayer chank06f_2018 on Instagram took a photo of an ANIME Impulse banner from their event this past weekend that lists Phoenix for July 19 – 20. The ANIME Impulse website doesn’t have any information with the exception for the artist alley wait list registration where Phoenix is one of the options. No indication on where the event will be held but as soon as there is an announcement (or I can find out through other channels), I will be sure to update everyone.

This adds to the growing list of anime focused conventions in Arizona with most of them being in Phoenix. The anime convention scene has seemingly exploded in Arizona post-quarantine and this is another indication that Phoenix is a hot spot for the genre.
